The Borough of Fair Haven NJ
Fair Haven is a borough of Monmouth County NJ, sitting along the Navesink River and it is considered a part of the New York Metropolitan Area. It is located on the Rumson peninsula and its population amounts to approximately 6,150 residents. Fair Haven’s settlement dates to a structure built in 1816 on the Navesink River. By the mid-19th century steamboats stopped at the “Chandler’s Dock” on a route between Red Bank and New York City, escorting visitors to the area as well as local folks in to NYC. Fair Haven borders the Monmouth County towns of Little Silver, Middletown, Red Bank and Rumson.
