About Hazlet NJ
Hazlet is a township in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Its estimated population is 19,802 people. Hazlet was originally incorporated as Raritan Township in 1848 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. Based on the results of a referendum it was renamed “Hazlet Township” in 1967. The town got its name from Dr. John Hazlett who had an estate in Raritan Township. Hazlet borders on Aberdeen Township, Holmdel Township, Keansburg, Keyport, Middletown Township and Union Beach.
