About Long Branch NJ
Long Branch is a beachside city in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As of a 2018 census its estimated population is 30,406 people. Long Branch was originally formed in 1867 as the Long Branch Commission. It was incorporated as a city in 1903 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. The city of Long Branch is named for its location along a branch of the South Shrewsbury River. Long Branch borders the Monmouth County municipalities of Deal, Monmouth Beach, Ocean Township, Oceanport and Long Branch.
