About Long Branch NJ
Long Branch is a beachside city in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As of the 2018 census, its estimated population was 30,500 people. Long Branch was originally formed in 1867 as the Long Branch Commission. It was incorporated as a city in 1903 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. The city of Long Branch is named for its location along a branch of the Southern Shrewsbury River. Long Branch borders the Monmouth County municipalities of Deal, Monmouth Beach, Ocean Township, and Oceanport.
