The Borough of Brielle NJ
Brielle is a borough located in southern Monmouth County NJ along the Manasquan River. It’s population is approximately 4,800 residents. Archaeological excavations along what is now Birch Drive have revealed Lenape Native American Indian settlements. They practiced farming in other areas of what is now Monmouth County much of the year, and they visited the wooded areas in what is now Brielle for hunting and fishing. Today it is a residential community of single homes, with a few condominiums and virtually no undeveloped lots of land left. Brielle is bordered to the north and east by Manasquan; to the west by Brick (of Ocean County) and Wall Township and to the south by Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach across the River.
